@jaycieh This would be a good time to mention that there are still a lot of old-school internet providers around, that are a nice alternative to big tech.

in-ulm.de, bawue.de, in-berlin.de etc. come to mind.

I've been running my stuff on bawue.net for decades and am very happy overall..
