Restoring from a Time Machine Backup for the first time ever. Let’s see how that goes. 🤞

I just can’t imagine setting everything up from scratch.

Well, that worked better than expected.
Almost everything got restored correctly. Only the Full Disk Access app list was cleared, so that needs to be switched on for the relevant apps again as required.
Oh yeah, and every credit card needs to be added to Apple Pay again 🙄.

For unknown reasons, the startup sound was switched on again and the NTP server was reset to time.apple.com. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Restore took 45 minutes for approx. 220 GB of data.

So all in all, a huge time saver. Pretty impressive.

@arez Jop, sporadische Reboots, irgendwas mit der Storage-Firmware. Telefon-Support war anstrengend. Nachdem man mich in einen Apple Store geschickt hat, hat man dort den Laptop ohne Murren eingeschickt. Heute nach ein paar Tagen zurück erhalten. Logic Board wurde mutmaßlich getauscht, genaue Infos gibts aber anscheinend nicht. 😒
War jedenfalls schlecht zusammengeschraubt wieder. 🙃
Dank Apple Care+ ca. 420 € Reparaturkosten gespart. Immerhin.
