Authorities say a Tennessee man has been charged with an act of terrorism after he threatened to burn down an xAI facility because he was upset with its founder, Elon Musk, and President Donald Trump. Authorities say 25-year-old Ethan Paul Early was arrested and charged on Feb. 20 after he spoke with a police officer about the threats. An affidavit says the officer asked Early what he was thinking of burning down. The affidavit says Early said that Musk had an “AI factory” in Memphis. Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, operates a supercomputer in Memphis. The affidavit says Early had decided not to go through with the idea. Early's lawyer did not return a call from The Associated Press.
Neutron stars are some of the densest objects in the universe. They are the core of a collapsed megastar that went supernova, have a typical radius of 10 km—just slightly more than the altitude of Mt. Everest—and their density can be several times that of atomic nuclei.
A search warrant shows that Oscar-winner Gene Hackman, his wife and one of their dogs had been dead for some time when a maintenance worker discovered their bodies at the couple's Santa Fe, New Mexico, home. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that Hackman was found dead Wednesday in an entryway and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, was found in a bathroom next to a space heater. There was an open prescription bottle and pills scattered on the countertop near Arakawa. Authorities say foul play isn’t suspected. They haven’t disclosed how the couple died and say the investigation is ongoing.
