As a former Axios employee, I’ve sent messages to old colleagues pointing out that their click-through numbers for X will be falsified by people clicking through on here.
@maco @briankrebs @axios that’s like counting the total number of of current Titanic passengers by including the ones on the lifeboats and the ones floating dead in the ice water. “Our passenger numbers are higher than ever!” (It’s sad when the people in charge of statistical analysis are victims of confirmation bias.)

@axios The article doesn’t quote Shipley’s final words to Bezos, but hopefully they were, “FUCK no, you bald sack of shit!” I regret that I was never subscribed to WaPo, ‘cause I missed out on the opportunity to cancel that subscription over this shit. But WaPo hasn’t been fit for wiping my ass with for years.
