I realized in a cold sweat last night that I managed to leave my JR pass voucher at home.
It looks like the vendor will refund it for a 15% fee if I mail it back to them but super unfortunate
(Booking Shinkansen tickets through スマートEX is certainly an experience)

I am sitting pretty in a business class lounge while @evets discovers that they went to the wrong airport
it's like 14 hours away and I'm still already slightly dreading dealing with US border control, because every single time I do it something goes sideways - either with CBP or me personally. without fail.
