Brown Creepers (Certhia americana) are often hard to spot. You can see why given their amazing camouflage with bark. These tiny birds eat mostly insects but this one came for the suet nearby.
They build their nests behind peeling tree bark. If you are not watching for movement you will not notice this common but elusive bird.
They travel in pairs most of the time and the mate to this one was visible further up the trunk as I took this photo. I see them frequently but they are fast and often by the time I raise the camera, they are gone.
This one is on a black walnut tree (Juglans nigra) in front of my house and a through the glass shot.
