Apple spending $500b on AI is pretty exciting. There's so much about where AI is going that's unknown, and Apple is a pretty conservative company.

The number of active iPhones worldwide is about a billion so they'd need $500/user to justify it; even over multiple years I don't see that happening. They must have some other plan.
