Nose-shaping technology was at its height in the 1920s. But nasal Lamarckism kicked in, infants began to be born with acceptable noses, and within two generations nasal correction technology was first side-lined and then forgotten. We don't even have back-alley nose-modification clinics nowadays.

With this technology cast aside, we're even further from the opening of the Third Nostril. It's vanishingly rare now, although somewhat less so in the Indian subcontinent. Without the Third Nostril, the pineal gland dwindles in darkness.
