It's a strange thing to have both your parents die within two weeks of each other completely separately and for separate reasons. Strange vs heartbreaking I guess because one was an abuser and the other you lost to mental illness and later Alzheimer's and had already mourned. The feelings are certainly complicated, but there is also a feeling of relief. Relief that she's not suffering anymore. Relief that he will never get to hurt anybody else again. And hope all the way around for lots of healing for ourselves and those affected.
