Pregnancy became far more dangerous in Texas after the state banned abortion, according to ProPublica’s first-of-its-kind analysis, which found the sepsis rate for women hospitalized as they miscarried in the 2nd trimester shot up by more than 50%.

@ProPublica I believe the oath was: do no harm. You can have illegal abortion clinics, but you can't come up with illegal care clinics? What's wrong here. We have midwives! For centuries women assisted women in birth! Now it is a male thing and they don't know how to act! Having given birth myself, I would and could assist any woman drawing from experience. I am sure that the sepsis rate would go down! This failure to act is a ridiculous failure of mindset sub combing to tyranny. #midwives
