@georgetakei I was impressed by the calm way he responded. Zelenskyy is a true leader. He could have been evac:ed day one, but he refused to leave. He was offered sanctuary abroad, but he stayed with his countrymen.
1994 US, Russia, and UK promised, PROMISED, that Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan would remain free and sovereign countries. They were given extensive promises to be protected, if they just dismantle their nuclear warheads. Ukraine had a lot of them.

@sinabhfuil @georgetakei Those weren't allies, and hardly friends, and definitely not neighbours. That was about taking a swing at the commies, twice (and not very successful) and showing off.
At any rate, the US has proven themselves to be slightly less trustworthy than a used car-salesman now. At least with the salesman, you knew beforehand he'd try to rip you off.
@farbel @georgetakei True, and suddenly it all comes down to the constitution, and if the president will respect it or not - and I can't believe I even have to consider that an American president wouldn't!
Had I seen a movie starring a traitor for president, I would have dismissed it as unbelievable. But here we are...
