You realize different countries have different constitutions right? Ukraine’s constitution forbids holding an election in the current situation; they’re following it. Ours requires presidential elections every 4 years, war or no, so we follow that.
Ukraine holding a presidential election while being occupied would be just as unconstitutional for them as the US deciding to hold a presidential election right now instead of in 2028 as our constitution requires.
