chickenMatrix is the main one I think
FranklinMatrix is great but it’s got the same problem as ever l every other communication service, it’s only useful when other people are on it.
I use it and encourage my friends to but they just look at me like I’m crazy
Matrix also isn’t great, tbh. Way to much complexity baked into the protocol which makes the UX horrid
This 100%. Calling is also super iffy in my experience (element / schildichat), and group calls are a non-starter, since it outsources them to a separate service, jitsi, embedded inside the element client.
