Well, I dusted off that old pico-8 project and underwhelming as it looks, as bad as the code is, it's pretty much finished.

That was fun, in a quick and dirty way! Okay, more dirty than quick, I guess.

PICO-8 Cartridge

Feels almost like I remember the original game being, but honestly it's been more than thirty years and I do recall the controls were, er, occasionally frustrating.

In the end, this is probably going to be my only project on pico-8 because Lua really isn't my cup of tea, but also because while the pico-8's limitations did spur my creativity, they also quite dampened my enthusiasm in the long run. :P

But its job is done, though: I dipped a toe into game design and learned a TON of stuff even with such a simple little program! ♥
