I would like to take a moment to say that I am pleased that I successfully built my own router with OpnSense, got the SFP28 fiber network card working on my server, updated proxmox to the latest version of debian, and successfully fired up one of the old containers already on it.

Took two days to do all that, but things are configured very nicely.
Thank you @sparkler for the proxmox help.

Next week maybe I'll set up matrix or something just as useful.

oh, also, remind me next weekend to set up a gemini server.
I want to schizo post about soap and ponies and why Octavia is best pony so that the 6 other super nerds out in the wild will happen across it and laugh.

A Quick Start Guide For New Gemini Users

@soapone my question is if there's anything particularly great about it yet or if it's still one of those things for people who refuse to move on from IRC
@soapone Gemini is really cool. For accessibility I find that hosting the same information over both gemini and gopher. I love that gemini was made with that in mind for automation
@soapone @sparkler >proxmox is still running an older version because I'm too lazy to remove the doner repo which is causing errors.

@soapone there's some baked in package repo that requires a license for proxmox and I don't own a license, so it always fails an apt update and I'm too lazy to remove it. So no updates.

Tldr we both have our autistic tech projects friend.
