@mathcolorstrees: co-founder doesn't mean he still benefits from the business, but it looks like he's still on the Board of Directors and still holds a lot of shares in the company. He's also on the Board of Tesla.

More detail: a great amount of this guy’s wealth is due to the fact that he owns A LOT of Airbnb company shares. I didn’t check to see how closely he is affiliated with the company but reducing Airbnb stock prices is a direct hit to his wealth.
