Well, at least I haven't slipped into the conspiracy theory thing yet. 😊. I take consolation from the randomness of it all: a "u" does sound like "w" sometimes though. In fact, now that I think about it, "w" is pronounced "double-u." (If that's not a conspiracy, I don't know what is.)
