Edit: this doesn’t seem to be verifiable as far as I can tell. The one source I can find is a diplomatic cable that says he heard from someone who heard from a friend that this happened, not quite first hand info. Would like to see anything you all can find though.

I just went through 99 photos and none of them seem to help the argument that they ran over a gathering of people and washed them down drains
The ones I thought to see were not there, but I remember seeing a very disturbing archive on r/nsfl before that sub got locked (this was about a decade ago I think, somewhere between 2013 and 2015).
There’s literal no evidence that that it ever happened, and indeed it would violate the laws of physics (human bodies aren’t just bags of fluid). It’s one of those anti-communist myths that get past by western reactionaries

You do have to remember that China just has a denser population than the US - during the Tienemen protests China already had over a billion people. If you compare these numbers per capita, the last time we had mass violence on a similar scale was in the 60s.
