We must assume that Europe is becoming the world's last democratic major hub. Imperfect, perhaps, but democratic.

As such, Europe is the prime target of the new American administration.

Everything this administration will do will be aimed at harming us.

Washington's primary objective is now to hamper Europe's ability to exert a counter-power, even if it means joining forces with the worst tyrants.

We still have allies in the United States, but not within the administration.

@Veza85UE @N_Henin As I said, I don't know if EU was involved in Romanian election cancellation, however it could be argued. See this video of Thierry Breton, ex-commssioner, pro-European, at the end of which he says the EU intervened in Romania.

For sure the EU Commission and the Eurogroup intervened against the results of the Greek referendum in 2015 ... ask Yanis Varoufakis for details.

@windy @N_Henin It *could* be argued if you're concern trolling or otherwise arguing in bad faith that a former EU official referring to fellow Europeans as "we" as I do on this website every day means an institution he was famously no longer employed in told the Romanian Constitutional Court to annul the elections. Otherwise, no, it cannot be argued because it's an intox heavily pushed by far-right disinfo networks. Who are, I suppose, too lazy to read up on the CCR and RO domestic politics.

So many years of horseshoe assadism, horseshoe "ukronazis", horseshoe Wagner is NOT a terrorist organisation and even if it were WhatAboutAmericaBad?? etc etc have taught me not to assume. There is unfortunately a lot of permeability for Kremlin memes to seep into non-far-right milieu.
