@Crell@ramsey Could be that "Duo" was invented by a marketing agency who held the rights to it and Duolingo will be dropping that agency so they are preparing a mascot swap. 100% speculation, but that's what my gut feels.
@rbairwell@Crell No. They do all sorts of weird things with their marketing. This isn’t off-brand. I tend to think most of their marketing is pretty funny. I don’t really have a problem with this campaign, though it is quite morbid.
