Got this wonderful print from @inherentlee recently and I was out of 4x6 frames so I found some nicely contrasting scrapbook paper in my stash and framed it in a 5x7. Hate trans people? Fix your heart or die. I'm not real picky what you choose.
@inherentlee
🎊 picked a spot i like in my kitchen so it's one of the first things visitors see
@neckspike @inherentlee Perfect frame for a perfect message 👌
@illuminesce @inherentlee I found these frames at the thrift recently (still in the original plastic wrap from the 90s) for $2 each and had to have them, there were two 8x10s and a 5x7 and I bought all three of them.
@neckspike ooh the art n' the frame looks great with the paper patterns! totally wanna do that to some frames now...
@scumsuck
Recommend it for odd sized prints, or jus ones you just want to add a little more accent to. I stick them to the "mat" with two sided tape for scrapbooking or a little bit of glue stick.yep
@neckspike I wanna try this with original art! Maybe zazz up those 6x9 sketchbook pages that I send to people :O I wonder how structurally sound it would be to use cardboard for the backing...?
@scumsuck
I've done several sketchbook pages with a piece of black cardstock for backing! I only very recently started playing with proper matboard and it's more. difficult to work with
@scumsuck
Like these!
@neckspike Hell yeah! I do have some different colored cardstock I use for printing zines, this gives me lots of ideas! And boy do I know how hard proper matboard is to cut... Thank you!
@scumsuck
These are the cheap snap together frames you can get at craft stores or Walmart where it's one piece of plastic and the glass +art+backing snap in place from the front so they don't really have room for thick matboard. A piece of acid free card + the piece of card that comes in the frame is plenty for rigidity in my experience.
@neckspike i'm fucking obsessed with this frame
@inherentlee
Aren't they great? They even came with some great wisdom
@neckspike what i love this
@inherentlee RIGHT? I picked them up expecting a bible verse and was like "oh damn that's good shit actually"
