@Okanogen @arstechnica I've brought this up time and again to people. It's not going to happen. Unfortunately not without violence. The reason being is very very simple. The Republicans own the executive, the legislative, and the judicial. Except for lower courts which they don't own everything. There is virtually nothing that can be done at this point. Protests? Will do exactly jack s***. You can bet your ass in the next 2 years before the midterms, Republicans will do everything they can to "reform" elections. Same way as they've been doing their best to gerrymander districts over the last 30+ years. The only current firewall is the Constitution, and states rights. I don't know how well that's going to hold up. As the scotus has made it abundantly clear that they are willing to entertain loopholes that are found when it comes to states rights, and constitutional amendments. Even in a best case scenario if Republicans and Independent folks take ownership of everything except for the scotus. There is legitimately two generations that's going to have to be dealt with to fix things. There is simply no way in hell that anything they're going to do in the next 4 years can't be undone. Keep in mind we're still dealing with Ronald Reagan's b*******. And that is what 35 plus years ago?
