I have a phallus from Africa for #BlackHistoryMonth: it's Osiris, evidently before he lost his male member and Isis had to replace it. Works even in the afterlife!

@AimeeMaroux @antiquidons @phistorians My bet would be towards the end of the resurrection process, from the state of the phallus! I think she first has to find the parts of the dismembered body, reassemble it and then take the form of a swallow before using her 'magic' to 'revive' him.
@JonGlue @AimeeMaroux @antiquidons the phallus was the most challenging piece for Isis to find!
@phistorians @JonGlue @antiquidons I thought she *didn't* find it and had to replace it? Or rather she did find it and a crocodile(?) ate it. 🥴
@AimeeMaroux @JonGlue @antiquidons maybe I’m misre(member)ing my Egyptian here but I understood the discovery of Osiris’ phallus was essential for the post reconstruction love-making session that led to the birth of Horus. Having said that, there’s bound to be different versions of the story!
