how do I decide what tights size I need if I'm tall and skinny? - ani.social

there are some cottelli tights I want to buy. I’m 5.9 feet tall, 31.4 inches waist diameter and 35 inches hip diameter. There are only 2 sizes for this particular model: S/M and L/XL I’ve never bought tights. Only considering my height I should (maybe?) buy L/XL, but I want the tights to be tight around my thighs and bottom (and all along my legs). If the brand’s sizing chart is correct, a L/XL would leave too much fabric hanging (skinny legs), but if I buy S/M, tights might be too short. Tights are 100% Nylon, no spandex. I neither know how much nylon expands, if any. I cannot try on and return if it doesn’t fit: tights are sold inside a one use plastic packaging, meaning if I open the package to try the piece on, I cannot return it.
