Open source and community project maintainers (and contributors) need to work hard on patience, empathy, and humility. It was something that took me a while, and even now after ~20+ years in the space, I can fail at those values at times. I know I've not always been the best at these things, and I still strive to learn.

Arrogance is neither sexy or cool. You need to meet people where they area, and show up, sometimes even in person. One of the reasons that I've valued meetups and events.

I learned a lot about other projects at FOSDEM, and one of the things I (still) value in tech is that there is so much more variety than I'm aware of.
@andypiper I love learning so much. If I want, tech will allow me to learn until I die. If I find some sport or similar activity I like, I can also learn and get better, but at some point I will reach the level that I cannot get beyond and stay there. Exploring tech and learning about it will never have that point.
@johl always something next, and new!
@andypiper Yes! This is such a gift. ❤️A know it all attitude means missing out on this wonderful thing!
