@Hex IDK how it is elsewhere, but around here, there are a lot of HELLA left wing people in rural areas, they just feel like they have to be pretty lowkey about it

Distrust of "city folks" is annoying, parochial, and 100% justified

There are not that many rural folks? People have this idea that the USA is like 50:50 urban vs. rural but it's really more like 80:20. Rural America is TAPPED OUT. It feels like everyone who could get to the city has been doing so for generations at this point.
