B.A.C.A. Mission Statement

Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (B.A.C.A.) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused #children. We exist as a body of #Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children.

#ChildAbuse

We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend our physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence. We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse.

3/5

We do not condone the use of violence or physical force in any manner, however, if circumstances arise such that we are the only obstacle preventing a child from further abuse, we stand ready to be that obstacle.

@anna_lillith alt text please
@xmacdonald you know Saebhiar I care about #alttext but i would really appreciate if you could give me a second to edit it in a form that I find suitable, no need for a reminder after 30 seconds please

@anna_lillith y'know, Anna, I add the alt text before I post. Maybe you can too. I say, "please", to engender and encourage kindness at well.

I also don't always check the time stamps nor circle back on posts, nor do I haunt your timeline because I have a personal grudge. I happened to be there in that moment.

Thanks for taking your time to respond to me. May your day be more filled with many small joys, like the sound of children laughing.

@xmacdonald I understand Saebhir and also I post in a different way, often longer post that take a bit to assemble and put the alt text together. I've been using alt text in all my posts on this platform and I often get a reminder within seconds when the post is online and I haven't even had the chance to re-read it myself and that's a bit touch for my taste.
@xmacdonald I often write the alt text before I post but oftentimes need a look at the full picture to finish it, that's when I post, have a look and edit it in. Wishing you a nice weekend as well and principally I think it's great you're watching out that people use alttext! And I do understand that you saw a picture without alt text in your timeline and thats why you reached out. Best wishes!

@anna_lillith
As a golfer, I find this slightly insulting .

And my shirt is salmon coloured, not pink...

@paulbusch

If you read the article it continues

'(No offense to golfers. Some bikers golf, too.)'

It's about child abuse not about colors of t-shirts. I think this is such a sensitive topic and it's a wonderful initiative to protect the children and empower them and it's my aim to raise awareness. I read about it extensively and wanted to share it with the mastodon community .

@anna_lillith

No disrespect intended - we need a sarcasm font :-)

@paulbusch thank you for saying that, you're absolutely right
