Did you start your own starter or inherit a sample from someone?
@gregalotl my own, but I've probably been failing to starve it for a year and only recently got it actually fed daily and looking healthy
@sldrant I used to use a spoonful of natural yoghurt occasionally.
@gregalotl I've always used raisins or sultanas to start it. Mix a few in a bit of flour and water, then add a bit more flour and water after 24h. From them discard most of it and add flour and water. The absolute quantities aren't really important, though roughly equal flour/water but only to get the right hydration for your actual bread.
Our house is quite cool, so I've been keeping this one in the kitchen cupboard as there's a hot water boiler under it to keep it more active.
