@jeffjarvis Any time before the last couple of weeks I'd say this was an overreaction, that even terrible policy- and decision- makers at the top of agencies are pretty far removed from safety critical and operational systems, with damage (or improvements) only visible over the longer term.

Not anymore. Glad I've got no trips scheduled for a while.

Even if you John Travolta yourself a private runway big enough to land a 747 right outside your front door, it won't fix the problem when, say, you want to visit Las Vegas. (And the flying private set *really* seems to love Las Vegas)
