I will spend a few weeks in Salzburg in April. My plan is to spend my free days taking my folding randonneur bike out for rides - single- and multi-day trips.

Any ideas?

@Timalane don’t worry about a lack of opportunities for all types of #cycling. Search for tours in the lake district (#Salzkammergut) or check out the Alpe-Adria Trail or Tauernradweg. For a two days tour I can also recommend going to Passau and further to Linz (cycleway along Salzach, Inn, and Danube river). Return by train possible.

@gicycle @Timalane If you like tough steep climbs: Gaisberg, Trattberg and Rossfeld. As cherry on the cake: a loop over the Postalm, via Fuschl-St Gilgen-Strobl, and back via Voglau-Golling-Hallein. 120km, may be some snow left in April. For an easier day: bike to the Köningssee via Berchtesgaden, or do the "Untersberg Loop".

I really appreciate these pieces of advice! Planning my days off in Salzburg is completely different when I get help from locals. :) Thanks! 👍
