This week's #bakingyesteryear project: Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake. With eggs in my area costing $5.15/dozen, this no eggs, no butter, no oil 1950s cake is perfect for 2025. It's moist, soft, and full of flavor. The only changes I made to the recipe were that I used light mayo instead of full fat, and I baked it in a Bundt pan not a tube pan. This is by far the best chocolate cake I've baked so far. 13/10 will definitely bake again. Enjoy the bonus pic of the loaf of bread I also baked today.
