Let’s get this out of the way first: this is the new, Analogue Productions UHQR version of Katy Lied, and it’s the best it’s ever sounded.
Does that mean it sounds perfect? This is not Aja. Whatever went wrong with the dbx system went wrong. But it still sounds great…and musically, this was the transition to Jazz-Pop from Pop-Jazz. Just a great set of songs, and a stellar group of musicians serving that vision.
