V171As someone who loves doing my taxes ASAP, after getting married it's been a pain in the ass waiting for my husband's documents which tend to come crazy late. But now that we are going through... whatever we are going through, it's even more frustrating because I wouldn't be shocked if tax refund money just didn't get distributed after a point.

@V171 I know it might not matter if things really go to shit but by law they have to start paying compound interest on refund money if they don't get it to you in a timely fashion and oh man it would feel SO GOOD to get a little bonus from the government if they shit the bed so bad that repayments can't go through. They really don't want to mess with tax law.
@proprietous I would LOVE this until we get the inevitable Supreme Court ruling that refund payments are up to the discretion of the office of the president, and actually the compound interest law was unconstitutional to begin with.
