#Tesla #supercharger In #Nissan #Ariya. Worked, but not well.
I got the official Nissan adapter for my 2024 Ariya a few weeks ago and just now tried it. I ran into several problems.
First, not all supercharger stations will accept non Tesla vehicles. So you can drive up, plug in, and have no way to start the charge.
Second, once I found an approved charger, I could only charge at 82kw even though my car was down to 35% charge.
Third, the cost was $33 for 48kwh of electricity. At 3.5 miles/kwh that's 168 miles of range for $33.
( For comparison: Gas is $3.75/gallon, my prius gets 40miles/gallon. So the same range would have only cost $15.75.)
Side note: I got the adapter jammed in the car at the first station and had great difficulty getting it out. The cord was just a little too short, so was tight when plugging in. It was in enough to partially engage the latch, but not far enough that the car could sense it, so the electronic unlatch would not operate. I had to wiggle the adapter in just a tiny bit more so it would unlatch and I could remove it. This was frustrating. And on you, #Nissan
