NEW: Yesterday, the Department of Transportation issued a memo that says DOT and DOT-supported programs should "give preference to communities with marriage and birth rates higher than the national average."

@GottaLaff I do not recall hearing this argument before in transportation planning circles. Off the top of my head it may actually direct funds more towards younger, lower income, and more diverse areas, though maybe not in a helpful way. I assume we are talking highways here.
@Lyle @GottaLaff you’re also assuming the people writing these memos have any idea wtf they are talking about. They do not.
@GottaLaff So, everyone's roads go to shit if any women in town aren't pregnant? Um...
@mfennvt Apparently
@GottaLaff Being postmenopausal has never felt better. Yikes.
@GottaLaff Wow, that first line had me spinning. 😆

Notes in next post, "Also in here: Recipients of DOT support will not be allowed to impose mask mandates, will be required to comply with immigration enforcement (in other words, no DOT funds to "sanctuary" cities or states), + the rescission of a rule that required state transportation depts to track carbon emissions."

Bluesky Social
@GottaLaff DOT! Man, they are going to pretzel logic this forced birth culture into every possible administrative office aren't they.
@Nonya_Bidniss Yep. Every whichway they can
@GottaLaff
Why? This country does not have enough jobs as it is.
@GottaLaff
What the heck do they want more assholes for, if they aren't improving hiring or wages they should just open up an extra lane to the drive through abortion clinic
