@ianb I forget where I first read it, but someone proposed a theory that most tech of the last 15-20 years is just replacing a mother - food prep, laundry, scheduling, lifts to places, help with difficult maths, finding/approving a suitable mate etc, all the things awkward, tech obsessed white males don't want to be bothered with.
