Since my article detailing Donald Trump’s “Muslim Ban 2.0” (and hundreds of other fascist Executive Orders) I have received an onslaught of painful messages claiming “American Muslims are getting what we deserved.” The claim goes that because American Muslims were critical of Biden and Harris for arming Netanyahu, even as he committed war crimes and genocide, they are why Harris lost.

Here's why this claim is racist, false, & only enables Trump. Let's do better.

I may be frustrated, angry even that all of the information necessary to see this coming, in addition to people in Gaza saying Harris was the choice (even in the horror they still paid attention), was plainly available, but there is absolutely no glee in what is coming for them, no joy, and we will be worse for it happening.
And it keeps us fighting the fights those above us want is to focus on.
