Just holding the phone at my window - not even fully open - and this is while it's fairly calm in comparison to when it really whips up. #StormEowyn
@stevenscott Wow! How many miles per hour or kilometers is the wind speed measuring? I hope you stay safe!
@CreativeChris Highest winds recorded in Ireland this morning were 114mph (183km/h) and where I am the wind speed is 80mph (129km/h) and we are fairly well inland. And it’ll remain like that for the next five or six hours.
@stevenscott Wow, that's enough to get a power outage, for sure! I know I would have all the things charged up over here if I was in that situation! Battery packs anyone?
@CreativeChris @stevenscott Me, too! We'll be anxious to hear that y'all are safe.
@laurel @CreativeChris Thanks Laurel and Chris. We are doing fine so far. Some damage to the garden and outside but so far it’s passing by without major incident, at least for me. Today and Monday’s sDouble Tap episode was recorded earlier this week incase you wonder why we don’t mention anything about it!
@stevenscott @CreativeChris Well, in case you need a laugh, and since you have dogs ... When Hurricane Matthew came to the Lowcountry of South Carolina, a bunch of us friends stayed together in my best friend's then spacious home. One of the guys thought it was "cute" to feed the dogs cheese puffs, which resulted in one particularly sensitive pup having an upset stomach. Of course, it was my dog. There were no accidents, but, just as the announcement came that the storm was too violent for emergency vehicles to be dispatched, I was outside, picking up poop in the middle of a hurricane. You just haven't lived until you've done that.
@laurel @CreativeChris That sounds like fun. We do love a challenge!
