When Hurricane Matthew came to the Lowcountry of South Carolina, a bunch of us friends stayed together in my best friend's then spacious home. One of the guys thought it was "cute" to feed the dogs cheese puffs, which resulted in one particularly sensitive pup having an upset stomach. Of course, it was my dog. There were no accidents, but, just as the announcement came that the storm was too violent for emergency vehicles to be dispatched, I was outside, picking up poop in the middle of a hurricane. You just haven't lived until you've done that.
