Great news everyone! I open the grifter playbook and talk about all the people that now try to sell me time with your boss' boss' boss and why they keep buying trash software.

Brainwash An Executive Today! — Ludicity

@ludicity Great, harrowing read. While it can be pretty easily inferred what your impression is of the CTO first mentioned, did you ever figure out why people you respected at the time valued them so highly? Was it a mix of everything your article goes into? Did you yourself just realize those people you respected weren't as savvy as you first thought? And more importantly, did you ever inform those you respected? That sounds like a daunting, herculean task, honestly.
@xazzon Ah, I still consider most of those people to be quite smart. The core thing they were being tricked over was being "listened" to. Many people are so used to executives ignoring them, that having an executive come and make thoughtful faces was enough for them to feel great. They never noticed that the follow-up action was weak.
