Chris WilmshurstHas anyone 'merged' or migrated an account? I'm looking to somehow merge this with my pixel fed account.
Matt Birchler@ChrisWilmshurst I migrated from one Mastodon server to another 2 years ago and it was pretty simple. My memory is a bit vague, but basically all of my followers were automatically redirected to following this new account and then I had a CSV of the people I followed that I had to import here to re-follow everyone from this new account.
@ChrisWilmshurst I think the worst part was everyone I follow got a notification telling them I just followed them, which wasn’t a big deal at all, but a few people went “I thought you followed me already” and I had to tell them I’d just migrated.
@matt @ChrisWilmshurst So basically it’s an account backup that migrates everything over? Even followers? Thats an interesting way of doing it!
I’m assuming I can’t link my Bluesky account on here? As I’d love one single profile across the fedivsrse
