@adapalmer Reminds of Palestinian resistance. Or Algerian, or Vietnamese. In the sense of the impossibility to defeat the invaders, but the capacity to survive and keep heads up for decades and even centuries.
By the way: is there any reference in your book to Al Andalus as predecessor of Renaissance by protecting and translating of Greek-Latin and Indo-Persian heritage for the rest of Europeans?
