The hourly temperature forecast from the NWS is 31 or 32 during the entire anticipated snow event. While, technically, that could support the forecast snow totals on the grass, it doesn't really support them unless this would otherwise be a blizzard level event. #nolatwitter #nolasky

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Usually, you need the ground to be actually frozen to support these kind of snow forecasts. We're forecast to be right on the edge of that. From my experience, the difference between snow sticking at 34 degrees and 30 degrees can be significant.
