@[email protected] yes? People will react when they understand the impact of risks. And People will not react strongly when they do not understand the impact of risks. You need to understand stimuli before you can respond appropriately. Which means using communication to forewarn each new generation. There is no one better than anyone else, smarter than anyone else, or more protected from negative impacts by punching down. No one.

@PocketPixi Alright, accurate or not, it's surface-level as hell, and the implication is that the reader is not or should not be doing what is depicted, yes?
Which means the predicted audience is people who understand themselves as not included in the comic. Yes?
Which means either an implicit endorsement of not doing the depicted thing by not being self-recognisable as doing the thing -- or what?
I know I'm almost 3 weeks into an asthma attack here but
I do not begin to understand wtf else possible message could be in or about
these contrasting panels on americans' responses to their risk of losing either
[democracy: distant, unclear, labyrinthine, misstated, underpublicised, unequal, conflated, underprotected, misunderstood...]
versus
[tiktok, a specific app: experienced, personal, familiar, accessible, clear impacts, perceived clarity of risk-reward ratio, regular use, multifaceted uses, well-known if not well-understood, overpublicised, ...].
