We own this Mickey.
Do with him what you will.
@ajr i wanna make him say "copyright is theft from the commons"
@reb Ask and ye shall receive.

@ajr @reb

maybe we should add this to the handout...

cc @ryno @musicman @Cheesetruck

@wjmaggos @ajr @reb @ryno @Cheesetruck I mean the flyer is CC0 but I don't think it should go on the official flyer for so many reasons but the whole "lol mickey is in the public domain thing" is going to be exceedingly dated in like a year
@wjmaggos @ajr @reb @ryno @Cheesetruck there's an argument for having a spot on the two-sided handout to replace the character with a new entry into the public domain every January... but we aren't really a public domain org. I mean I think on the website talking about public domain is a great idea but on the handout I think it muddies the message. plus if the goal is to make these handouts be global the public domain is different in different countries
@musicman @wjmaggos @ajr @reb @Cheesetruck I would leave the PD stuff off as it does muddle and add complications. I have started making more refinements on the flyer. Making it a little prettier and such. I will let you know when I am done.
@ryno @wjmaggos @ajr @reb @Cheesetruck if you could upload the new version to the GitHub, that would be great. thanks!
@musicman @wjmaggos @ajr @reb @Cheesetruck Here is the current version. I am going to tweak a little more before I upload a new version to github. Let me know if you have any thoughts on the current version.
@ryno @wjmaggos @Cheesetruck i don't think CC is going to be very happy using their logo like that.
@musicman @wjmaggos @Cheesetruck isn't that the entire point of creative commons? to be able to remix? build upon? If they have a problem with that I might need to rethink some life choices.
@ryno @wjmaggos @Cheesetruck all I can tell you is #cccma got a cease and desist.
