Starting point for 24 Hours of Cross Stitch, yep it's a brand new start! Yesterday's sensible plan got scrapped already, haha.

Missing five of the called-for colours so may need to nip to the shops later, currently undecided whether I'll cheat and count shopping time in with the 24, depends how far behind I am.

I've committed to doing at least one video call to kick off the celebrations later today, and we have a friend attempting a 24 hour stream from 9pm UK time tonight which seems like madness to me but just goes to show the #24hocs hype is real 😂

For the first time ever, I've actually managed a full 8 hours stitching on the first day of #24hocs. It's a miracle!

We also did some video chatting and whatnot and I accidentally knocked my laptop off a precarious tower of empty chocolate boxes, so it's been an eventful day.

Let's see if I can keep up the energy tomorrow!

Thirteen hour update because twelve hour was too samey due to all the frogging. The crabs are back and I'm at least 90% certain they're in the right place this time, hooray! 😅

Eighteen hours and that is definitely me done for the day.

This time last year I was staying up and getting extra hours because the Packers were in playoffs, but alas that is not the case this time round (sad cheese noises).

Six hours to go tomorrow, which should be doable even with our plans to actually go outside a little bit 🤞

@yomimono There are usually a small handful of us on here but maybe it's just me today!

The official event is over on FB, but essentially it's just trying to stitch for 24 hours between Friday and Sunday and it runs 4 times a year.

There's a few of us going for it in my Discord server, but I generally try to avoid mentioning that part because it seems like shilling 😅

@thegiddystitcher 24 hours in 3 days is so much! People must really have their ergonomics down. I think I could only do it if design time counts, otherwise I’d be setting myself up for a bad time the whole next week.

@yomimono Yes in my experience the full reality of the undertaking usually hits sometime early on Saturday and you definitely question your own sanity.

But I'm ahead of where I usually am for this time on a Friday, so maybe it'll all be different! :D
