This is the first book from Tanith Lee's TALES FROM THE FLAT EARTH series. Read this instead of #neilgaiman 's THE SANDMAN. It's a 5 book series still being published post her death. I learned today from another author that he took too many elements for THE SANDMAN from her without crediting her...and while she was struggling with the publishing culture of the 90s, he was building and never gave her credit.
