Cool service you’ve got there, Sander. Sounds like a perfect companion to Keyoxide.

Is there any way to try it out?

I’m talking about https://qpub.eu if that’s not clear 😅

@wiktor Happy to have you try it.

Do you have a qualified certificate for electronic signatures? See https://eidas.ec.europa.eu/efda/tl-browser for a list of where you can obtain them. Once you have it, I’ll share instructions on how to claim your ID – involves some manual steps for now.

Indeed quite some overlap with Keyoxide, would be nice to explore further.

Hmm… nope, I don’t have a qualified cert. Only the national one (that can be used for signing too but is not “equivalent to a wet signature” ).

I’ve checked and apparently qualified cert for 2 years is around €50 / 2 years here + a manual verification process.

I’ll get back to you when I sort this out… one way or another it looks cool. I’ll be following it closely… 👀

@wiktor We’re working on the price and ease of identity verification. In case of NL/BE/DK/IE/DE nationality you can try vidua.nl right now, for PL I’ll let you know when we’re got something.

Sounds great! I’ll ask around friends in supported countries if they want to try it out :)

See you later! 👋

@wiktor we now also support Polish ID documents issued in 2018 and later: https://vidua.nl/en/user/nationalities/

Sorry for super long delay! Apparently this fell through the cracks here 😅

I’m interesting in trying it out, and, once again, I’m talking about https://qpub.eu if that’s not clear 😅

(I’ve installed https://vidua.nl/en/user/ app but that’s not the same thing.)

Thanks for your patience, and once again: sorry for the delay 🙇

Btw the page that’s in your profile gives me 404 now: https://qpub.eu/mastodon.online/sq/

@wiktor Glad to have you try it! And thanks for reporting, I needed to fix some DNS issues.

You’ve got the right app. Once you have enrolled at Vidua, you get an email with the link to Vidua Signing. Use that web app to sign a plaintext file with the following content:

qpub.eu/v1
username: @wiktor
real_name: Wiktor Kwapisiewicz

(The spelling needs to match your ID. Feel free to add middle names if they are in there.)

Then, mail the result to: [email protected]

@wiktor In the username field, Mastodon might omit the instance server name in the rendering of my example plain text. The field needs to contain both your username and the instance name.
