@doskel iphones cant interact with mifare classic cards at all, for example, and refuse to read ndef data from ultralights, even though their tech entirely allows it. android phones need rooting to emulate nfc cards. it's a lot more locked down than it seems, but that's what financial companies "require" cause nfc is used for payments now
