He has stated many times, on video, that he wants to be dictator for a day to enact extreme policies. I recommend you read up on Project 2025 if you haven’t already.
At the moment, I think he wants to distract from his legal battles, the infighting on H1B visas, and from what government agencies he is planning on gutting. He will likely try to completely change the scope of or destroy: the EPA, DOJ, IRS, and the department of education. The chaos now is just a little taste to get us ramped up.
I think he will be unable to fulfill his campaign promises of lowering inflation, especially if tariffs are enacted. He will be able to use distractions to explain why no progress is being made in that front (and/or by throwing Biden under the bus, which has already begun)
