Tor Kingdon@maxlew I feel like this is probably a dumb question, but are those nebulae really so big that you can get both of them to take up that much space of 35mm film with a 135mm lens?
@kingtor yes this nebula appears very big in the sky with an apparent size of 150x150 arc minutes.
For comparison the moon has an apparent size of 30 arc minutes (it could fit in the very center of the heart nebula)
This image however is slightly cropped in, so I don't use the full sensor size
@maxlew so if only our eyes could capture 14 hours of light and make an image of that, we could enjoy this view on the regular. It's astounding
